Liverpool – AFC Bournemouth

The leader in the Premier League Liverpool welcomes AFC Bournemouth at the Anfield in a match from the 29th round of the competition. Let’s preview it in few minutes, shall we?

Liverpool lost three of their last four games in all competitions and they were eliminated from the FA Cup, but there’s no reason for the Reds to panic, of course. They are still on couse to win the Premier League in a really impressive way. Right now Jurgen Klopp’s team is leading the standings with 22 points advantage in front of the second Manchester City, although they have a game more than the Cityzens.

Last week Liverpool suffered their first Premier League loss for the season. The European champions surprisingly got teared apart with 0-3 during their visit to Watford at the Vicarage Road. For a first time this season in the league Klopp’s team got dominated in such a fashion. Basically nothing worked for the league leaders, but how we said – there’s no reason for them to lose their calmness. We actually expect to see them getting back on track on Saturday.

AFC Bournemouth continue to struggle, being in the relegation zone of the Premier League. At this point the Cherries are 18th with 27 points, but they have the same amount of points as the 17th Watford and the 16th West Ham United, so they are still hopeful of finding a way to survive. The problem is that Bournemouth won just one point in their last three games.

Last week Eddie Howe’s team made their 6th draw for the campaign. Bournemouth had to host Chelsea at home and they secured a point with a 2-2 draw. Jefferson Lerma and Joshua King scored for the hosts. The Cherries were just five minutes away from takign the win here.

In our preview we can make the conclusion that for Bournemouth it’s going to be very difficult at the Anfield on Saturday. Liverpool are motivated to show that they will be back to their best, so let’s see.
