Juventus – Lecce
The champion Juventus hosts Lecce at the Allianz Stadium in a fixture from the 28th round of the Serie A. The Bianconeri will try to make another step towards the Calcio title.
Soon after their dissapointing Coppa Italia against Napoli, Juventus achieved their first Serie A title since the COVID-19 quarantine break. Maurizio Sarri’s visited Bologna and achieved a comfortable 2-0 win. Juventus scored both of their goals in the first half of the game. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the score with a penalty kick while his partner in attack Paulo Dybala doubled the champions’ lead.
With this win Juventus are now four points ahead of the second Lazio, but the capital club is with a game in hand.
What decisions Maurizio Sarri will take about this match which is about to come? Against Bologna he played Blaise Matuidi, Douglas Costa and Aaron Ramsey, but they could feature from the first minute on Friday. Juventus can’t use the Brazilian right back Danilo in this match as he got sent off against Bologna.
Lecce are desperately trying to escape the relegation zone of the Serie A. The club restarted its season with a crushing 1-4 defeat at home from the hands of Milan. This left Lecce at 18th place in the table with 25 points. For them the remaining rounds of the league are going to be really decisive.
Nothing worked for Lecce against Milan at the Comunale Via del Mare. Marco Mancosu scored against the Rossoneri from a penalty kick, but Lecce’s performance in defense on this day was just disastrious. The bad news for them is that now they must play the strongest team in the country next.
That’s our preview about the Serie A game between Juventus and Lecce on Friday. We don’t have any doubts that the Old Lady will take the three points here. Juve are playing for the title while Lecce are not a team on their level.
