Levante – Real Madrid

Real Madrid will try to keep the leadership in La Liga when they visit Levante in a game from the 25th round of the league on Saturday.

The title race in La Liga is pretty intense because at this moment Real Madrid have just one point advantage in front of the second Barcelona. Things could change very quickly, so the title will go to the team with a better consistency. Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane is aiming to win his second league title in Spain.

Last week Real Madrid suffered an unexpected setback, though. Los Blancos hosted at the Bernabeu the struggling team of Celta Vigo and lost two points after a 2-2 draw. Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos’ goals were not enough because Celta’s Santi Mina equalised just five minutes before the end.

Zinedine Zidane has a pretty healthy squad for the next game. Eden Hazard is finally back, while Marcelo Diaz and Marco Asensio remain sidelined.

Levante can’t be happy with their current form. They suffered four losses in their last five matches in La Liga, which is not making them very confident before hosting Real Madrid. The team’s manager Paco Lopez must do some serious work in order to prepare his team for the big challenge on Saturday.

Last week Levante lost for a 13th time this season. The Frogs paid a visit to Villarreal but suffered a 1-2 loss. Borja Mayoral scored Levante’s only goal in the game after an assist from Clerc.

What happened against Celta was unexpected for Real Madrid and mistakes like this one could cost them dearly. This is why we expect some kind of a response from the La Liga leaders against Levante on Saturday. If they make another mistake in Valencia, most likely they would say goodbye to the first place in the league.
