West Ham – Tottenham Hotspur

Jose Mourinho is going to make his official debut as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur. The Portuguese tactician was appointed this week, replacing the sacked Mauricio Pochettino. In his first game at Spurs Mourinho will take his team to the London Stadium to face West Ham United. Let’s take a look.

Right now this is not the best possible situation for Tottenham. Because of their poor form since the beginning of the campaign. right now Spurs are 14th in the league standings with 14 points. They are currently 11 points behind the Top 4. This is the reason why Mauricio Pochettino got sacked, despite of reaching the Champions League final in May.

For Jose Mourinho Tottenham are the third English team he’s going to manage after Chelsea and Manchester United. He has won the Premier League three times with the Blues, but his time at United was kind of dissapointing.

The club captain Hugo Lloris and Jan Verthongen are recovering from injuries, so we will follow their recovery ahead of the game on Saturday.

West Ham United not having the best possible season as well. The Hammers are 16th in the league with 13 points and a record of 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses. Right now West Ham are in a really bad shape, losing four of their last five games, not winning neither one of them. If the club continues to perform like this, the manager Manuel Pellegrini could find himself in danger of losing his job.

In their last match West Ham visited Burnley at the Turf Moor and got smashed with 0-3.

We expect a pretty good game between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Jose Mourinho’s return means that the Premier League just got even more interesting. Can the Portuguese manager shows his magic again? We shall see.
